Ground Hog Day is Wednesday, so I google to see what people bake in celebration.  I see that the Movie GHD has a scene where he stuffs Angel Food Cake into his mouth because the calories will never count.  That fits in with my light baking focus.  I want to put something in the center hole to look like a wood chuck peaking out.
Maybe a cupcake I can put eyes on or sunglasses? 

Any suggestions?  I am thinking that chocolate afc with a sprinkling of white sugar to suggest snow?

and maybe something green if the packers win ?

I took a picture of my first afc right out of the oven.  I ran out of time to do anything fancy so I just glazed it.  It turned out pretty well.  It was Rose’s Tweed SFC plain.
I have to say that my first experience with weighing ingredients sold me. Now I want a digital scale.  Its probably the best cake I ever tasted.  I have one question.  I used Domino Confectioners sugar which I am told has the highest percentage of corn starch.  I hope that was right.  And White Lily Flour.  With my kitchen aide mixer I am powerful   Thanks Rose! What a great book.

Congratulations, looks just perfect!  And angel food isn’t the easiest sort of cake, there are many who have trouble with it.  What sort of glaze did you make?
