I am unable to determine a definite answer to your question. Publishers are encouraged to change the ISBN for each edition. But, in the real world they don’t. My first edition has the same ISBN as the current Simon and Schuster listing and the Amazon listing. All that aside I would be very surprised to learn that any new volume being sold by Amazon weren’t the most current edition. The only certain method is to go to a physical bookstore or order from a physical bookstore. There are a number with 800 numbers that will take orders over the phone! Powell’s or UW bookstore are some examples. UW ships for free too.
Gene, here in Costa Rica, I havenīt been able to find any of Roseīs books,
and until now, all the online bookstores also name the 1998 edition.
I think it happens also with TCB; only the 1988 edition is listed.
Iīll have to keep on looking for information.
Gene, I have just visited the Simon and schuster site, and they
only talk about the 1998 publication.
I wish iīd now if the new one is a revised edition, and if it is
(and so Ithink it is), I want *this* edition.
I have my books bought and sent to me by a friend, and I
need to give him very specific information.
I am eager to get this book and the RHC as soon as possible!!!
