Hi All!
I’m a newbie and is seeking for some help in finding a good fondant recipe. I’ve never tried using fondant but is anxious to try my hand at it.
Thank you!

Dani,
The Cake Bible is the place to begin. I’m sure there are recipes online, but Rose gives such succinct and thorough instructions, you need to start with ‘the Bible.’

Be aware that in Rose’s fondant recipe (I’m assuming you are talking about rolled fondant and not the poured liquid fondant) one of the ingredients is shortening.  Apparently, the reformulated “no trans-fat” crisco doesn’t work.  There is an organic shortening available in New York (not sure where you are)...I think it is called spectrum? (check the blog ... there are lots of posts about this) that works fine. Good luck

Thank You Kyle! Shall read the cake bible!

Bill- I saw some other members make some comments about that too….I’m in Nevada and I think they carry “spectrum” at whole foods. Shall look into it. Thank You very much!!!!
