I was about to make a cake that requires self-rising flour but I’ve run out of it and only have all-purpose at home….will it make a difference in the cake? please help! Thank you!

I’m away from my books at the moment, so I can’t tell you the exact replacements for self-rising flour, but in addition to the flour it contains baking powder and salt.  Perhaps others can chime in or additional searching may also turn up the right amounts to add.

Add 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to 1 Cup of AP Flour.  If you try and use just AP your cake will not rise. Hope you get this in time.
