Yo Gabba Gabba cake with Golden Butter Cream Cake

My daughter turned two and her favorite character at the moment is Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba.

I made 4 layers of Rose’s Golden Butter Cream Cake and frosted with a swiss meringue buttercream. Topped it with strawberries for his horns.

She loved it!

It was much more moist this time, possible b/c I brushed some simple syrup on top of each layer before frosting. It was really good!

Yeah… ingenious…. fabulous that you were able to create such a cake without fondant. And, I agree with Anne, your daughter wlll have refined tastes.

What a cute cake! As CRenee says, I love gorgeous cakes without fondant. And the strawberry horns are a great idea.
