Aren’t the books you can buy for Kindle, Nook, etc just as expensive as real books?

Aren’t the books you can buy for Kindle, Nook, etc just as expensive as real books?

For the most part, yes, although you’ll find public domain books almost free.  They often knock a dollar or two off the price for a Kindle edition, but I’ve also seen some a dollar or two more.  When the Kindle book is more expensive, there are often hundreds of outraged customers giving the book 1 star on Amazon.  Looks like *they* are using the decreased manufacturing costs of an electronic book to increase profit margins.

Personally, I rather have an actual book but it is nice to have the option when carrying books is impractical.

If you want cookbooks at 40% off, now is the time to go to Borders. All this time they have been selling them for 20% off and just recently 30% off. They do not accept the Borders Plus cards people paid $20 to join.
