Hello all, It’s been a while since my last visit to the forum and wow! lots of interesting cakes and recipes.

I want to share with you the latest cake that I made for my best friend. Maybe you can give me some ideas for improvement. Thank you.

Improvement?  Are you kidding?  That is amazing!!!!  Great job!  If I could decorate a cake like that I would “quit my day job”.  Congrats!

Ineke, What a fabulous cake and it can also fly!  So much fun, hope that Brenda really enjoyed her cake, I did, seeing it take flight!

I used a chocolate sponge cake, a bit firmer one, with moist marble cake-like texture. I made a 6-inch x 3 inch tall chocolate cake and trimmed it into the house shape. The Cake was not layered, I want it to be compact. I used a thin shorthening frosting just to stick the fondant. It was a fun project

oh my goodness. I just watched the video and it is absolutely precious. That was brilliant!! The whole idea was really cute. Great job.
