Thank you so much!! It was a great day. I did of course, end up baking my own birthday cake. My last 3 cakes I took to various occasions was the Chocolate Caramel Ganache, my new favorite chocolate cake and DEFINITELY my new favorite ganache! But for my birthday, I made Bobby Flay’s coconut cake. I use it as posted but add more powdered sugar to the buttercream and a whole bag of toasted coconut!
Not sure how many cakes this year; work takes away time for baking, but does provide an eager cake eating audience! So far this year I’ve taken a lemon meringue pie, chocolate caramel ganache, lemon luxury cake, grand marnier cake (TCB), and the BF coconut cake. I think german chocolate is next, deciding between the one in RHC and the one in Baked…may have to try both! : )
