Am doing some baking for my special daughter-in-law and I need to freeze a basic yellow cake.  Do they need extra care or just wrap well and freeze?

If it’s uniced, just wrap it in plastic wrap twice.  Freeze on a flat surface (like a cake carrier or cardboard from under frozen pizza), then wrap in aluminum foil.

I like to thaw first in the fridge overnight and then bring to room temp from there.
