Lots of cookies to make for Christmas - as usual!

In my experience, some cookies freeze better than others (pre-baking). Does anyone have experience with freezing dough for spritz cookies?  Can I pipe the cookies out, freeze them, pop them in bags, then bake them later?  Looking for any suggestions on how to spread out the work over a couple of weeks or so, since my full time job and toddler somehow mean that I don’t have all the time in the world for baking.

I’ve never frozen the dough for spritz cookies, though I have frozen them after they are baked and they’re fine. I have a friend who bakes thousands of cut-out cookies for gifts every year and she sometimes starts making her dough as early as August. She freezes it for baking closer to the holiday. It would seem that the spritz cookie dough would act the same in the freezer and wouldn’t be a problem.
