So out of nowhere I had this craving to bake a cake, something I haven’t done in years, if ever.  Flipping through a cake cookbook a stumbled upon a flourless chocolate cake and had to make it.

It turned out beautifully.

Yum! Uh oh. Now I have a craving to eat flourless chocolate cake.

I like the stenciled star. What did you use to make it?

Thanks for sharing V, and welcome!  May I ask which book you got this recipe from?

V- I love that cake plate you have - it’s gorgeous! Is it vintage?

I cut out a star from a piece of paper then sprinkled on some icing sugar to make the stencil.
The recipe is from a Williams Sonoma cookbook I have, it turned about so delicious.  Incredibly rich and chocolaty, some strawberries and whipped cream went with it perfectly. grin

I think the cake plate is vintage but I’m not sure, it’s my mothers, she has the best stuff!
