I don?t recollect where I originally got this recipe, but I modified it.

In a Cuisinart whir these dry ingredients with the chopper blade:
  2 cups flour
  2 teaspoons baking powder
  ? teaspoon salt
  ? cup white sugar

Add wet ingredients and mix till resembles coarse sand (don?t overmix):
1/3 cup cold butter diced in cubes
  1 beaten egg
  1 teaspoon vanilla
  ? cup buttermilk

Empty on to a sheet of waxed paper, add raisins (about ? cup) and pat dough circle about 1? high

Cut with a knife into 10 pieces and put on a baking sheet

Glaze before baking by brushing with: 1 beaten egg, 1 tablespoon milk, and sprinkle with granulated sugar

Bake in a 375 degrees oven for 18 minutes

Thank you for your kind words.  Have you ever tried making scones without fat?  They probably come out like rock cakes, but I have a friend that loves them who is on a fat free diet.  Also if you have any other recommendations for other fat free baked goods, I would be delighted to hear about them.
