Rose has a Red Velvet Cake recipe in “Rose’s Heavenly Cakes”—many people here on the forum have baked it and really like it. I haven’t made it myself, though. I just made mini cupcakes from Rose’s HC book. They were very moist and yummy. I frosted them with white chocolate creamcheese. Everybody loved it. However, I was struggle with cupcakes pulling away from liners.
Yes, I tried and they all liked it! Light, moist and yummy! I used only 1 tbsp of gel red food coloring though, I think 2 Tbsp is for the liquid coloring.
Bean2002, are you using the stiff/thick liner? for me, the paper liner is best for cupcakes cos it clings to the cake

Your cupcakes look lovely. How many cupcakes did you get from one batch and how long you baked them. I used the Wilton liner(Celebrate it). Try to search for different liners.
