I was wondering how can i infuse a cake with milk chocolate syrup…any suggestions

There’s a recipe for a chocolate sponge cake syruped with milk chocolate syrup in Rose’s Heavenly Cakes.  It’s the Deep Chocolate Passion wedding cake, but can be scaled down.  Syrup needs to be hot and cake needs to have holes punched in it for it to work.
