Well, FG, you have me intrigued.  I have yet to make the chocolate bread…sometimes the simplest things are the best.  So glad you liked it.

My hubby is not a coffee lover either.  He thinks it’s absolute evil—that said, I made a cake with about a cup of coffee once and a coworker who was really sensitive to caffeine (which I realize is also in chocolate to a lesser extent) was totally buzzed!  Now I feel like I need to warn people any time there is coffee in a dessert!

Yikes!  That is scary. With all the food sensitivities and allergies, we almost need to carry liability insurance when we have guests!  I often see signs disclosing possible allergens in or around food but who would think coffee would be the trigger???  I do think simple is perfect for everyday . That is why I am so looking forward to Rose’s new book.

the Jamican Rum I use for baking.

this would also be great paired with chocolate, just keep the quantity small so it stays in the background.  Brandy/cognac or Frangelico are also great chocolate enhancers smile

Awesome! That is great to know! It seems the rum flavored baked goods I make become everyone’s favorites.

Thank you Julie!!
