Since I like both the cocoa and the almond version of the Wacky/Wowie cake, I experimented and made a marble cake of the two.
I followed Rose’s instructions for the Marble Velvet Cake in RHC. I took 1/3 the batter and combined it with 7g cocoa (approximately 1/3 the weight called for in the cocoa recipe). It came out delicious and so very moist.
Next time I will use 1/4 of the batter because I feel the marbling effect will be more pronounced with more contrast.
