I seem to remember the instructions for Miette’s tomboy to be bake to internal temp of 200. It took more than the 55 minutes to get there. THe cake was crumbly on the outside and therefore difficult to decorate as shown in the book. My torting was sloppy also. I find the textue kind of like a cakey brownie. This is not a dislike ....but an obversation. I will double check my oven temp and settings and will do this cake again. I do like the flavor very much. I cannot call this cake dry even with it being crumb excessive…... it is, of course, not as moist as FW’s MOM’s
I will do this cake again and maybe a third time in three pans.
Regrets it is a terrible photo…I do have to budget my time to bake the cake and take a proper photo.
By the way, are you surprised that I am keeping with this experiment and moving along with it regularly?
Now what next? hmmmm
