I’m gaining more and more confidence in my decorating skills.  My son wanted a Fire Engine cake for his birthday and I stepped out and attempted it.  It came out fairly well for my first time doing such a task.  The thing I’m most proud of in this entire project is the fondant sculpted fire hydrant.  I’ve never sculpted anything in my life.  So, I was smiling from ear to ear to see the finished product actually look like a fire hydrant lol.

The cake is made of RHC’s Luxury Butter Cake, a vanilla buttercream icing, and cream cheese filling.

It looks great!!!  And you used my yellow favorite cake—the Golden Luxury Butter Cake.  The flavors sound wonderful together, and I’ll bet our son was absolutely thrilled!!!

Thanks Anne.  I was supposed to have a little decor on side of the fire engine, but I ran out of fondant and didn’t feel like making anymore lol.  It looks kind of bare on the backside of the truck.  Oh, and the cake was delicious.
