I am new here, but I love my copy of Rose’s Cake Bible!!!

I am curious, with her white velvet cale, can I substitue the white chocolate for something else?? I have a family member allergice to chocolate and I wanted to make this cake for a party sice it is so light and fluffy!!!

I think you mean the “White Chocolate Whisper Cake”—that’s the one with white chocolate.  The White Velvet just has milk, so you’d be good with that one!!!

White chocolate doesn’t have any significant amount of chocolate in it, just cocoa butter.  But I guess it depends on how sensitive the person is.

Thanks!!  I guess they are sensitive. It’s for an in law…  I have the Cake Bible.  I will have to look for the white whisper cake since i don’t remember seeing it, unless i have been adding hite chocolate when it’s not needed…

Ah, well, then it doesn’t matter.

I think it’s right before or right after it.  The White Chocolate Whisper Cake is identical to the White Velvet Cake, except that the white chocolate replaces some of the butter and sugar.  In the yellow cake section, it’s the same—the Golden Luxury Butter Cake is identical to the All Occasion Downy Yellow Butter Cake, except that the white chocolate replaces some of the butter and sugar.
