I would like to make the Many Splendid Quick Bread from RHC in mini loaf pans size 5 1/2 x 3 x 2 1/4.  Do I need to adjust the recipe? Do you know how many mini loaf pans I would need for 1 recipe?

Thank you

Hmmmm, somehow I missed this the first time around.

I would make it without any adjustments to the leavening, they will have a nice, rounded shape.  I don’t know the volume of your mini-loaf pans because of the sloping sides.  Could you pour water into one and let us know?

Looks like they hold a little more than 2 cups each, is that right?  So, about 3 would be right for the recipe as written, as it makes the right amount of batter for a six cup pan.  Sounds like they’ll be cute and delicious.  Baking time will be shorter, but you can usually tell by looking at them or with a thermometer.

That’s great to know. I did not think of it in terms of cups. That opens a lot of possibilities to me.

Thank you very much! I’ll be putting this knowledge to a lot of use grin

Yes, cups are a valid way to think of it. Just be careful with pan depth and with the distance between sides.

Okay, thank you.

If I am understanding you, most recipes calling for loan pans would be suitable to use in the mini pans. How about tube/bundt pans?

Yes, I think that tube and bundt pans should be easily interchanged with loaf pans.  Have fun!
