Hello Fellow Bakers,
Yesterday while making the Midnight Ganache, which I have made many times, I forgot to add the boiling water/ chocolate mix, to the food processor, because I had placed it in the refrigerator to cool before using.
Now, I will say in my defense, the the night before I only got 1 hour of sleep, which is not conducive to good baking or much else for that matter.
Later that evening, my husband opened the fridge door and said that it smelled like chocolate, at which point, Yikes!!! I had already poured my caramel into the Food Processor and thought how wonderful the chocolate is starting to set up already, then cleaned everything up.
Well, I sat both mixtures out on the counter overnight and went to bed.
Today, I whipped them both together in my mixer and surprise, fluffy wonderful Midnight Ganache!
I did add 1 T. of the thickened brandy cherry juice afterwards, just for fun.
So, don’t toss your mistakes away!
And try to get more sleep!
