I haven’t made the crescents yet but they look delicious and Rose’s recipes are very well-tested and reliable.  I have made the toffee and it is wonderful.  I think there’s a part in the recipe where it says to stir the molten sugar syrup- it only need a little swirl or stir from time to time, if you get carried away with the stirring it will crystallize and the toffee will be sandy/crumbly.

I’ve made the crescents, years ago, and have a note that the dough is soft.  I remember them as being delicious smile

Thanks so much ladies, any other recommendations that are favourites of yours? I’ve tried a few and they’re staples now but would like some feedback if anyone has any that I may not have tried making yet? Also any cake favourites? From any of Rose’s books as I have them all smile

Thanks in advance ladies smile
