It?s been a while since I?ve made one of Rose?s tarts and I really wanted to break in my new tart pan but I couldn?t decide between this tiramis? tart and the strawberry-rhubarb tart. I took the sale on mascarpone cheese at my local grocery store to be a sign that this is the one.
It?s fantastic??..more chocolate-y than most so it?s almost mocha-flavoured and with just a hint of marsala. It is one of those multi-component tarts?.. sweet cookie crust painted with melted chocolate, chocolate sponge cake (you can make the vanilla or use store-bought), espresso syrup, zabaglione (egg yolks cooked with sugar and marsala) mixed with mascarpone and stabilized whipped cream….but well worth the effort to make!
