Two-stage mixing technique

Hi

I want to use Rose’s two-stage mixing technique for my own chocolate butter cake recipe which has melted chocolate.
My question is at which stage do I incorporate the melted chocolate into the batter example add the melted chocolate together with the butter into the batter?

Rose has a cake that uses the two-stage method with melted white chocolate, I imagine that the same procedure would work with your dark chocolate.  She adds the melted, cooled chocolate at the end.  It is here:  http://www.realbakingwithrose.com/2012/06/a_new_cake_for_fathers_day.html
