Dear Rose and fellow cake bakers,
Ive just made the best cake Ive ever made with Roses Buttermilk country cake. absolutely fantastic. Last week I applied roses method to a biscuit recipe which turned out better than ever. The technique of mixing dry ingredients then adding wet ingredients in stages with mixing in between works with all recipes Ive applied it to, resulting in a soft, fluffy, fine texture everytime. Its a total revolution!!!! Thank you Rose!

I made this cake yesterday. It baked so tall and the crumb was perfect. It is tender and delicious.

I glazed it with an apple-cream cheese glaze. I’m not so sure I like the combination with buttermilk.

I was thinking a raspberry or currant jelly glaze or a honey glaze might have been better.

Other than the suggestions in TCB, does anyone have any other suggestions for topping this cake?

I enjoyed this cake paired with lemon- made the lemon neoclassic buttercream, but I think a lemon glaze would be good, too smile
