Pink Apple and Cranberry Galette

This was inspired by Rose’s Heavenly Peach Galette. The idea for putting jam under the fruit was from Dorie Greenspan’s Summer Fruit Galette, which I made as part of “Tuesdays with Dorie.”

My own ideas—rolling the dough thinner at the edges, and using an apple-cranberry juice concentrate to moisten the apples and make the jam. (I used Old Orchard Cranberry 100% juice blend.)

That looks just delicious!  I’ve bookmarked the recipe to try…Thanks so much for including it.

I check out the TWD site often to see all the beautiful, creative things the members have done.  Looks like a lot of fun and my stomach is always rumbling when I leave. smile

Barbara, it looks fabulous, what a lovely galette!  I just love the free form, draped pastry.  And I can see the flakes in the slice, it looks perfect.  Congratulations and enjoy!
