Hi there,

With recipes that call for cocoa instead of the solid chocolate.  What would be the conversion ‘rules’ if I go with a recipe calling for the solid chocolate?
Thanks in advance!

Unsweetened chocolate is about half fat and half cocoa, by weight.

KATE~KOO:
Good morning. YES !!! Kate there is a formula for that. Here it is:

3,TBLS of cocoa plus 1,TBLS of shortening or veg oil =1, square or 1, oz of un~sweeteetned baking chocolate.

Good luck in your baking young lady & enjoy the rest of the weekend.
