I bought the smallest Turkey I could find: 8 pounds young Turkey.. there is only three of us in the family.

]I will brine it in liquid tomorrow for Thursday. I will be making sweet potato fries since my husband loves fried sweet potatoes (yams).

Since I learned brining the Turkey in liquid,  I have not done it differently.  One thing I have never done is frying the whole turkey.  Too much work and risk and peanut oil.

I love the idea of sweet potato fries for Thanksgiving. My family loves them too.

I recently bought some cast iron cookware and THIS BOOK. It has a recipe for chicken fingers and sweet potato fries which we love. The book, itself, has unique recipes for cast iron skillets. All the recipes are complete meals. I have made more recipes from this book than any other I have. I really like it.

Happy Thanksgiving prettycake!
