This was one of my finest Ginger Bread Creations. A village church with a shingle roof, doors which opened and closed, stained glass windows with different patterns and a threaded Christmas tree. All the other decorations as ladder, snowman, dog, stones, decor stars, candles and candle holders, stairs at the front door, were also quite special. It was lit from inside by a small bunch of Christmas lights. In later years I used a battery powered one so no wires were visible.

This won the 1998 Oulu Walking Street Competition and was on display under a plastic covered frame for several years as no one had the heart to eat it!

It took almost 10 hours non-stop work to create this, but it was worth it.

Beautiful!  I wouldn’t have the heart to eat it either.  What recipe did you use?
