I made my first Wedding Cake, I made Rose’s white butter cake with the Mousseline Buttercream from the Cake Bible.  It was for an outdoor wedding and reception in Indiana, the temperatures were mild, so am hoping that my buttercream held up!

Looks lovely.  Are those daffodils decorating it?  Daffodils are our national flower in Wales, UK.

Yes those are artificial.  I haven’t attempted to make my own from fondant or sugar paste, but I would really like to learn.  In time I suppose.

What a lovely cake! You did such a wonderful job that I wouldn’t have guessed at all that it was your first wedding cake.

Your cake is elegant and pretty.  Flowers always add elegance to any wedding cake or any other cake.
