Stumbled on this easy recipe < http://chocolatemelt.co.uk > I make a tray of these at the start of the week and have one each morning with a yoghurt drink for breakfast , Oats are a slow burning Carb. so feel that they are a lot healthier than some of the ready made breakfast biscuits sold in supermarkets, and as you can change the Jam flavours, use honey , add nuts, seeds, drizzle with chocolate etc. for variety. Mmmm Rather Yummy. LOL. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions for adding .
230g Rolled Oats
110g Unsalted Butter
400g Jam ( I use low sugar variety)
Melt Butter & Jam in large pan over gentle heat.
Add Oats & Stir.
Press into greased 8” tin or cake mould and bake at 180f for 25/30 minutes.
Leave to cool, then cut into 12.
