I just couldn’t resist posting this for those who may not have seen it…what a mammoth (and delicious looking) task.

Click here to go to Skoda car cake advert on Youtube

Edited to add: here is a stills pic - just of the engine part alone!

Apparently the car contained 180 eggs, 100kg flour, 100kg caster sugar, 30kg almonds, 65kg dried fruit, 90kg brown sugar paste, 180kg orange sugar paste. Oh and the 300ml of golden syrup (refiners syrup) poured into the engine like oil was a cute touch!

Hehe Hector, in my dreams would it be my engine cake but alas it’s part of the car cake itself before they lowered it under the bonnet smile

I had seen this on Cake Wreck, but somehow I missed that incredible engine.  What a feat!

Thanks for posting.

Wow - amazing.  It seems that a cake that size must have taken 180 DOZEN eggs (I go through 40 or 50 eggs for a simple wedding cake).  What a neat video - thanks for sharing it!

Simply amazing.
I wonder what it was for? Car company? Competition? Someone got really bored?
Certainly an impressive undertaking.
