I wanted to share this little discovery with everyone here, since you’ve all been so helpful with any questions I’ve had.
I bake the No-Knead Bread at least twice a month, and I’ve been looking all year for a long, low, covered oval or rectangular pan that could bake it into a sort of ciabatta shape. I had despaired of every finding one.
Then today, while browsing for post-Christmas cookware bargains on Amazon, I found this cast iron baby that looks like my dream come true. It’s big: 20 inches long and 9 inches wide! And not too terribly expensive, at $46. Haven’t bought it yet, but definitely will. Just thought I’d share in case anyone else has had the same thought:
