Well I’m not sure if this is “local” event as it’s more international, but the Fourth Annual Menu For Hope launched today. Menu for Hope is a huge charity raffle run solely by food bloggers to raise money to fight hunger. This year the campaign is focusing on the school lunch program in Lesotho, Africa. Prizes this year include lunch with Harold McGee, a KitchenAid mixer and signed cookbook from David Lebovitz, a tour of celebrated restaurant el Bulli, and much, much, much more. Food bloggers from all over the word have donated their own time, money, and resources to create a prize list that would make any food lover gasp.
