Sourdough Starter and the Cleaning Lady

A word of advice:  Let your cleaning person know about your sourdough project so that she doesn’t mistakenly throw it away, thinking that it is something which has spoiled.  One month’s work down the drain…...literally.

Word of advice two:  freeze some of your starter.  Luckily I had done this and was able to get it going again without quite as much work…...

Eeeeek!  I would completely freak out at the prospect of losing a starter that I had watched over and fed for a month!  Hope your frozen stash works out well!

Oh my!  I think we all felt your pain as we read you story.  That’s a great item for my “lessons learned” file.  Thanks for sharing it.
