Just tell me what to make, and when you want the results posted - I’ll do whatever everyone else agrees to.

I am very sorry. I didn’t meant to be so fickle. It’s just that I got so excited when I saw those recipes. Yes I know I’m like a kid.  LOL  Let’s just stick to our original schedule.

No worry - I didn’t take it that way.  I just meant that I’m happy to do whatever, just tell me when smile.

I’m with Patrincia, I’m happy to do whatever, whenever.  I love when there’s a category (like charlottes, my orange-chocolate crown is nearly done!) and we get to pick which one we want to do.  But really, I’m happy to make just about anything.

Just an update…......I guess everyone agreed to Julie’s suggestion of a filled cookie for the Mother’s Day bake-off. So that is what we will be doing. Agreed?????

Yes, Rozanne, that’s my understanding too.  I’m planning on making the rugelach on page 126.

BTW, this is open to everyone and not just the people who made charlottes!

I wouldn’t mind joining in on this!  I’ve just checked back that Mother’s Day is May 10th,  can we pick any cookie or is there a certain type in mind?

So nice to have you join in Jeannette. You can pick any “filled” cookie from Rose’s cookie book. I’m make the pistachio chocolate one.

Rozanne, I think the chocolate pistachio marzipan spirals qualify. Dough rolled up around a filling, yep, looks like a filled cookie to me.

Hi, guys!  I’m new to this forum and I just came across this bake-off.  You guys are referring to Rose’s Christmas Cookies book, right?  I have that book also.  I may check it out tonight and see what kind of filled cookies there are in that book.  I may join the bake-off if I find a good one to make (if you guys don’t mind a newbie participating).

I’ll chime in, too- the pistachio spirals are definitely in!  We chose the category to fit what people wanted to make, not the other way around.

Happy baking!

Me again- do you all think we should move our planning sessions over to the “Events and Happenings” section?  It is seldom used and would make details easy to find.  Results could still go under Show & Tell.
